Brand Kit

Build your complete brand identity (logo, colors, type, icons, guidelines), then reuse it to make everything you produce on-brand.

brand-kit is a two-phase system. In the first phase it guides you through building a complete, professional brand identity from discovery through finished assets. In the second phase it acts as the source of truth that your document tools and content patterns draw from automatically.

The output is not a folder of files you manage by hand. It is a living identity system: colors, fonts, logo variants, and guidelines all defined in one place, in machine-readable form, so every piece of work your assistant produces looks consistent without you policing it.

  • You are creating a brand from scratch and need a logo, color palette, and full asset set.
  • You already have a brand but it has drifted, or you want to formalize it so your assistant can apply it reliably.
  • You want one authoritative source for your brand so document tools, landing pages, social posts, and proposals all match without any per-file tweaking.

The setup pipeline walks through twelve stages, each building on the one before.

Stage What it produces Format
01 Discovery Brand brief: company, audience, personality, differentiators Markdown
02 Logo mark The core brand symbol that seeds everything else SVG
03 Logo system Primary lockup, stacked variant, wordmark-only, five or more variants, favicons, app icon SVG
04 Color palette Complete color system with named values in CSS, Tailwind, and Markdown CSS, Markdown
05 Typography Display and body typefaces, weights, hierarchy, web loading code CSS, Markdown
06 Iconography Ten custom on-brand icons on a consistent grid SVG
07 Asset export Every asset rendered to PNG and JPG at every platform size (social, print, web, mobile) PNG, JPG, SVG, EPS
08 Brand guide The human-readable style guide document HTML, Markdown
09 Collateral Business cards, letterhead, envelope, social covers, email signature HTML
10 AI branding guide A token-efficient, machine-readable brand reference for AI agents Markdown
11 Theme A presentation theme that applies your brand to slide decks CSS
12 Design system A unified AI-optimized design system document with a visual HTML preview Markdown, HTML

Tell your CLI agent setup to start. Your assistant walks through the twelve stages as a conversation – you can pause at any stage and resume later without losing progress. Tell it status at any time to see which stages are complete and where you are in the pipeline.

Each stage has a checkpoint. Your assistant will present what it produced and ask for your approval or changes before moving on. You do not need design skills. You provide direction, preferences, and any existing materials, and your assistant builds the assets.

If you already have brand files (a PDF brand guide, existing logo SVGs, or hex codes), share them at the start. Your assistant will extract colors, fonts, and voice from those files and skip any stages where you already have the deliverable. You may be able to jump straight to Stage 07 (asset export) or Stage 08 (brand guide) if most of your identity already exists.

If you have a live website, share the URL during setup. Your assistant can scan it to extract your existing colors, fonts, and voice so you are not answering questions you have already answered.

The pipeline is icon-first by design: Stage 02 produces the logo mark, which seeds the color palette in Stage 04 and the typography in Stage 05. This mirrors how a professional branding agency builds an identity system.

Once your kit is built, tell your CLI agent suggest to find the right pattern for what you need. Ten patterns are available:

Pattern What it produces
Social post On-brand social media posts for any platform
Email Branded emails with correct tone and colors
Proposal Professional proposals in your brand voice
Presentation On-brand slide deck content
Ad copy Ad copy written to your brand personality
Blog post SEO blog content in your voice
Landing page Full HTML landing pages
Newsletter Email newsletters
One-pager Flyers, sell sheets, capability statements
Brand compliance audit Check existing content against your brand rules

Every pattern loads your brand’s shared identity files automatically – your colors, fonts, brief, and logo – so you describe what you need and get output that is already on-brand. You do not set up brand context per-request.

Do not change brand details per-output. If your colors, logo, or voice need to change, update them in brand-kit once. Every tool that draws from it will pick up the change. Editing individual outputs to fix a color or font is the wrong approach: it creates drift and those edits will be overwritten the next time you generate that content.

Complete the discovery stage before skipping ahead. Stage 01 produces the brand brief that every later stage reads. Skipping or rushing through it leaves downstream stages working without a foundation. If any later output feels off-brand, check your discovery answers first.

Run asset export before using logos in documents. Stage 07 converts SVG source files into PNG and JPG at every size. Until you run it, your logo exists in SVG format only. If a document tool or platform needs a PNG, go back and run Stage 07.

Generate the AI guides before relying on your assistant for content. Stages 10 and 12 produce the machine-readable files your assistant reads when creating content or applying your brand in code. If your assistant produces content that feels generic or misses your voice, these stages may not have been run yet.

White-label customers: update the source, not the output. If you are building a brand kit for a client under a different brand, work inside their own brand-kit instance. Do not apply one brand’s tokens to another brand’s output files.

Symptom Likely cause Fix
Document tool applies the wrong colors or fonts The color or typography stage was run before you finalized those choices, and has not been re-run since Re-run Stage 04 (color) and/or Stage 05 (typography) with your final decisions, then re-run Stage 10 and Stage 12 to update the AI guides
Logo is missing or shows as broken in outputs Asset export (Stage 07) was not completed, so PNG files do not exist yet Tell your assistant to resume at Stage 07
Assistant generates content that ignores my brand voice The AI branding guide (Stage 10) was skipped or is out of date Run Stage 10 to regenerate the machine-readable brand reference
Outputs look inconsistent across different content types Some patterns are loading an older version of the brand brief Re-run Stage 01 discovery to refresh the brand brief, then re-run Stages 10 and 12
Collateral (business cards, letterhead) has outdated contact info Stage 09 was run before contact details were finalized Re-run Stage 09 with updated information
I updated my logo but old documents still show the old one Document outputs are not live-linked. They capture the brand at generation time Regenerate the affected documents after updating Stage 02 and completing Stage 07
Setup stalled and I cannot tell where I left off State tracking is in the workbench status Tell your assistant status – it will report which stages are complete and which are next
Brand guide looks complete but my assistant still misses details Stages 10 and 12 (AI-optimized guides) have not been run These two stages are what your assistant actually reads. The human-facing guide in Stage 08 is separate
